Formation

Forme affirmative

Encore une utilisation de la 3e colonne des verbes irréguliers! Vous allez en effet avoir besoin de l'auxiliaire HAD et du participe passé du verbe.

Forme négative

 

 On utilise NOT ou N'T (la forme contractée) .

Exemple:

I hadn't eaten the cookies = I had not eaten the cookies 

Paul told his mum that she was wrong. He had not eaten the cookies

Forme interrogative

On rappelle le format d'une question : auxiliaire-sujet-verbe.

Tout naturellement, on obtient:

HAD + sujet + participe passé

Had he eaten the cookies?
